Souverän - A world-famous classic. The production of the tortoise shell is subject to an elaborate process, because according to a recipe specially developed for Pelikan, a striped piece of material is made from cotton material in many steps, which is bent and then polished to contour with a diamond. The special feature of the tortoiseshell material is its slight material transparency and the different color nuances that give the material its shimmering effect. The palladium-plated rings on the filler grip and cap are fitted with the utmost precision before the writing instrument is polished to a high gloss. The slightly springy, typical Pelikan beak clip gives this high-quality writing instrument its unmistakable design. The Souverän M605 piston fountain pen features a 14-carat rhodium-plated gold nib and is available in EF, F, M and B nib widths.

The white parts are made of high-quality resin that is first turned and then polished to a high sheen. The barrel with the white and green stripes is made of cellulose acetate that was very carefully manufactured and turned into a sleeve.
The characteristic double rings at the back of the barrel and on the cap are integrated into the material. This is done with the highest precision in order to obtain a virtually seamless transition between the materials. The fountain pen has a completely rhodinized 14 carat gold nib and will be available in 4 nib widths EF, F, M and B. The matching ballpoint pen has a twist-mechanism.
Every single writing instrument is mounted by hand and carefully checked to fulfill the strictest quality criteria. The Souverän® 605 Green-White is encased in a specially designed gift box.

Souverän® 605 STRESEMANN
The Souverän Stresemann is dedicated to the foreign minister of the Weimar Republic, Gustav Stresemann (1879- 1929), who was honored together with his French colleague Aristide Briand with the Nobel Prize for Peace in 1926. In addition to his political career, Gustav Stresemann‘s style of clothing also sparked his fame. The classical Stresemann suit consists of a black/grey striped trousers and a single row jacket in black or anthracite. The Souverän of Pelikan is popularly known as „Stresemann“, that´s why Pelikan named the Souverän black-anthracite after Gustav Stresemann.
Now Pelikan offers the Souverän in black-anthracite additionally to the sizes 800 and 400, in the very popular size 600. The barrel with the deceptively simple anthracite stripes is made of cellulose acetate. For the black, finely turned parts, high-quality resin was used. The clip and the rings are plated with palladium. The nib is made of completely rhodinized 14 carat gold, to match the silver sheen.
This elegant series consists of a piston fountain pen and a ball pen. All the models of the series 605 Stresemann will be part of the standard collection.
